Port Bunker Prices

Istanbul is the busiest bunkering location on the Mediterranean–Black Sea corridor. Deliveries are made by barge at the anchorages serving the Turkish Straits — Ambarlı, Zeytinburnu and Büyükçekmece on the Marmara side — so vessels can lift fuel without berthing, typically while waiting for a Bosphorus transit slot.

Piraeus is the principal bunkering hub of the East Mediterranean. Deliveries are made by barge at the Piraeus anchorage areas, and a deep pool of physical suppliers keeps the port consistently among the most competitive in the region.

Malta is the mid-Mediterranean's offshore bunkering station. Most stems are delivered outside port limits (OPL) at the designated bunkering areas off Marsaxlokk and Hurd's Bank, which lets vessels on the Gibraltar–Suez lane lift fuel with minimal deviation and no port call.

Gibraltar is the western gateway bunker hub of the Mediterranean. Deliveries are made by barge at the Gibraltar Bay anchorages, with fast turnarounds tuned to Strait traffic; the neighbouring ports of Algeciras and Ceuta compete for the same stems, which keeps the whole Bay area sharply priced.

Izmir is Turkey's Aegean bunkering centre, with most physical supply concentrated around Aliağa and Nemrut Bay just north of the city. Proximity to the Aliağa refinery complex supports steady product availability, and stems are commonly combined with cargo calls at the Aliağa, Nemrut or Izmir terminals.

Mersin is the main Turkish port of the East Mediterranean and a natural bunkering stop for tonnage working the Levant, Egypt and East Med container and bulk trades. Deliveries are made by barge at the anchorage or alongside during cargo operations at the container and general cargo berths.

Constanta is Romania's principal port and the largest on the western Black Sea, anchoring the region's grain, ore and project cargo trades. Bunkers are delivered by barge at the port and roads, with availability concentrated on distillates and VLSFO.
